5 Keto Breakfast Ideas: What to Eat for a Low-Carb Breakfast

The keto diet is one that many people are doing and they are finding incredible success with it. However, breakfast ideas are often thought to be the hardest to stick with. After all, when you think breakfast you often think about tons of carbs. Here are some great keto breakfast ideas that you will want to try!

Keto Low-Carb Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins

No one says that you have to give up your sweets for breakfast with this recipe!


  • 1/3 cup of low-calorie sweetener
  • ¼ cup of almond flour
  • ¼ cup of coconut flour
  • 1 tbsp of poppy seeds
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • ½ tsp of baking powder
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • ¼ tsp of xanthan gum
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tbsp of butter
  • 2 tbsp of sour cream
  • ½ tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp of heavy whipping cream


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and get the paper cups into the muffin tin. Mix all the dry ingredients together. Then in a separate bowl beat the eggs until they are fluffy, add in the butter, sour cream and vanilla. Then combine and add the cream last to the mixture and pour into the paper cups. Bake for around 15 to 20 minutes.

Fluffy Microwave Scrambled Eggs

This is a super easy recipe for those who have little time in the morning! Take 4 eggs and 1/3 cup of milk with salt to taste and mix together. Pop this into the microwave in your microwave safe bowl and cook on high for 30 seconds. Remove, then mix again. Return to the microwave for 30 seconds, and repeat this pattern for the next 2 minutes or so when the eggs get to the consistency that you like.

Oven Baked Bacon

Want to avoid the grease splatter and still have a great breakfast? Take some bacon and bake this in the oven! Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then place the bacon slices onto the sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Then flip the bacon slices and back for another 15 to 20 minutes until it is to the crisp that you like. Great to serve with the fluffy microwave scrambled eggs!

Easy Asparagus Frittata


  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 tsp of butter
  • ½ pound of asparagus cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 8 eggs
  • ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 7 tbsp of milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp of fresh parsley


Heat the oil and butter on a pan and cook the asparagus, stirring, until firm but able to bite around 10 to 15 minutes. Then beat the eggs and stir in the milk and cheese, salt and pepper. Pour this egg mixture over the asparagus and cook until set around 10 to 15 minutes. Then garnish with the parsley.

Keto Avocado-Spinach Smoothie

For those who prefer a drink in the morning, this smoothie is delicious and super keto!


  • ½ cup of coconut milk
  • ½ cup of water
  • ice cubs
  • ½ medium avocado, pitted and scooped from the shell
  • ½ cup of fresh spinach
  • 2 tbsp of erythritol
  • 1 tbsp of MCT oil
  • ½ tsp of vanilla powder


Come all of this into a blender and blend until smooth, add more ice if you need this thicker!
