3 Easy Christmas Appetizer Recipes

When Christmas hits, you don’t want to spend all your time in the kitchen preparing food. You want to enjoy the holiday and all that goes with it. For this reason, you want simple appetizers that you can make that are going to be easy and go over great with those who are eating these. Here are some easy to make Christmas appetizers that are going to be enjoyed by all, young and old alike.

Christmas Meatballs

Ingredients:

Package of prepared meatballs (already cooked), not Italian style, just home style

  • 1 can of whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • ¾ cup of ketchup
  • ½ cup of beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoon of cider vinegar

You can put all this into a crockpot and cook on low for 4 hours or longer to get done. It is one of those dishes that you can mix and walk away.

Holiday Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup of mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup of Creole mustard
  • 2 tbsp of minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp of grated orange zest
  • 1 ½ tsp of horseradish
  • 1 cup of whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 2 packages of Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 ½ pounds of thinly sliced turkey

Directions: Beat the cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth, then add in the mustard, ginger, orange zest and horseradish. In a separate bowl, mix the cranberry sauce and green onions together. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto the roll bottoms. Then place turkey and the cranberry mixture on top, then put the top of the rolls on and they are ready to go.

Slow Cooked Smokies

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of mini smoked sausages
  • 1 bottle of BBQ sauce of your choice
  • 1 ¼ cups of water
  • 3 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tbsp of steak sauce
  • ½ tsp of pepper

Directions: Place all the ingredients into the slow cooker, and cook this on low for around 5 to 6 hours.

With any of these recipes you will find it easier than ever to prepare food while you get other things done at home, or just get to enjoy those who have come to celebrate. You will find that these great recipes are going to be great for just about any time that you need something quick to make that is going to be delicious for the entire crew.
