5 Healthy Lunch at Work Ideas

When you are eating lunch at work, are you just grabbing something from a vending machine or even going to the nearest fast food restaurant? In doing this, you are not going to get the healthy meal that your body deserves or that you need in order to stick with your health goals. The good news is that you can easily make something beforehand and take this to work so that you have a healthy lunch.

What To Eat For Lunch At Work

For those who eat lunch at work, they are going to find that they have several options that are going to be easy to make and healthy.

1. Collard Wraps

Collard wraps are something that you can easily do a new thing with every day. And what makes them even better is that they are super easy to throw together that morning and get on with your workday. Collard wraps are meant to be used as a wrap for anything that you want to put into. A suggestion:

- Grilled chicken with pesto - Turkey, lettuce and bacon - Tender roast beef with vegetables

2. Chicken Fajita Stuffed Peppers

For those who want an easy dinner that they can then turn into a healthy lunch for the workday, chicken fajita stuffed peppers are the way to go. Simply, grab a few peppers and then cut the tops off and remove the insides. Meanwhile grill some chicken and put in some onions, cheese and fajita sauce. Stuff this into the pepper and bake until the pepper is tender.

3. Tortilla pizzas

This recipe is a healthy take on an age old favorite. Simple take a soft tortilla and put this into a pan. Put your favorite toppings onto this from meats and veggies. Then bake for a short period of time until the cheese is melted. It is a simple lunch item to make the night before as it reheats great.

4. Bento Boxes

A concept that originated in Japan, it is an easy way for you to pack your lunch even that morning. These boxes usually contain some fruit and fresh veggies, cheese, crackers and other items...that’s it. So consider making a bento box with apple slices, blueberries, some sugar snap peas and some cheese slices with a small amount of whole wheat crackers.

5. Lettuce Wraps

These are extremely easy to make and easy to prepare for your lunch. Take some grilled chicken, avocado, and other items to make a chicken salad that you like. Then instead of putting this onto bread, put this onto leaves of lettuce. It is super delicious.
