There are several workouts out there that are geared at certain people, or to get a certain result. One of these is the Tabata workout. This is one workout that has many people questioning whether this is something that they should include in their weekly routine to help them get the results they want for their body or to overall improve their health. But, for those who are unsure of what this workout is, we have the answer.

What is Tabata? Here’s the Definition

Tabata is a high-intensity interval training otherwise known as a HIIT workout. What makes this workout unique is that each exercise that is done within this workout is done for four minutes at a time. It is meant to make as much results as if you were to work out for an hour at a time. Thus, it has become the workout that many people reach for when they are crunched for time. But, don’t let this make you think that the exercise is easy...it is going to be hard.

So, how can you integrate Tabata exercises at home? You will find that the best Tabata exercises are going to be short and intense to get you the desired effects. Here are some options:

  1. Burpees
  2. Push-ups
  3. Lunges
  4. Kettleball swings
  5. Dumbbell Squats
  6. Sprints
  7. Rowing

These are considered classic actions of any Tabata exercise. For those who are looking for a great workout at home, they are going to find that combining these into a workout is going to give their entire body a workout. You will want to remember the layout. This means that you push hard through this exercise for 20 seconds of work. You then do 10 seconds of rest, then repeat this action for however many sets you need to do to complete your workout. You will also find that you can find different variations of these exercises to make this easier if you are a beginner or an expert in working out.

For those who start these exercises, you may find it difficult to do more than a few sets at a time. You can do this entire exercises in just 10 minutes. But, you have to push yourself super hard. When you push yourself, you are going to find that even an hour after you have done your workout, your body is still burning calories.
